About the Foundation for the Future

 

Founded in 1992, the Foundation for the Future has funded vital academic programs that have steadily improved student performance. Today M-A is among the top-ranked high schools in the country and the future is bright.

 

The generous support of our donors advances our Foundation's goal of providing a better educational experience for every M-A student by funding smaller class sizes, an expanded course offering, and professional development for our teachers.

Comic and Author Steve Martin's latest novel, An Object of Beauty, is a fun and easy read that provides an insider's look into the glamorous, tumultuous and sometimes crazy New York art world. Whether or not you've read the book, meet at the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University for a one-hour tour led by Cantor Docent and Foundation Board Member Kim Sommer. The tour will be followed by a book discussion and a simple, delightful picnic lunch in the Rodin Sculpture Garden prepared by Cordon Bleu-trained chef and Foundation Board Member Celeste Chapman.

An Evening With Patrick Hunt

World renowned Archeologist, Musician, Author, Stanford Professor and modern day Indiana Jones will be joining us for an evening event not to be missed. Nothing short of remarkable, Professor Patrick Hunt will be sharing the exciting stories of his most recent National Geographic Expedition in search of Hannibal. Moms on Mountains

Back by popular demand! Grab your trail runners and join up to 20 other moms, along with M-A mother Angela Sherry, for a trek into one of our local hot spots for hiking. We'll depart at 9:00 a.m. from the trailhead (to be determined) and hike through some beautiful countryside. Mixing cardio with gourmet, we'll wrap up the splendid morning with a picnic of delicious cheeses, delightful wines, and unique treats of the fall Harvest. San Francisco Mission District Mural Tour
